a) Describe your agency’s philosophy of providing services and supports to individuals with disabilities.

Open Arms is dedicated to promote independance and help each individual find their abilities while building the positive foundation of their own disabilities. We are a family based organization and realize how difficult the decision can be to trust anyonbe to take care of someone that we love but please remember that we stand by out philosophy that "Open Arms is only a hug away"

Open Arms continues to evolve around the growing and advanced changes in the training field.

c) How are individuals with disabilities involved in selecting the agency’s staff that work with them?

Each individual is a huge part of choosing who works with them. We promote every decision to be made by them.

d) Describe your agency’s availability and flexibility in scheduling services and supports (days and hours available, areas of Lucas County willing to provide services, etc).

Open Arms can provide supports on a scheduled notice or on an emergency basis.

e) Describe how services will be provided in the event of an agency staff illness or emergency.

Open Arms has staff that are On Call to provide short notice staffing calls.

f) Describe how your agency would address individual or family concerns.

Open Arms will contact the gurdian or family at least one time a month to ensure service follow through and to address any issues that the family/guardian may have. The family/guardian can contact Open Arms at anytime that they have questions or concerns

Open Arms promotes as much involvement in the community as possible.

Open Arms is always involved in further training, we have been known to rewuest extra training that may not be offered although we feel the need for this extended training.

We have a full time Quality Assurance department that works directly with each client to ensure their satisfaction each month as well as ensuring that all paperwork and services were complete and delivered accuratly.

Open Arms is a family based agency that strives to meet each clients needs as well as to help promote growth from within. We truly believe that a relationship between a client and a provider grows from the start of a open relationship.

We have the trained staffing and supports to meet each clients needs based on their current situation. We can provide one on one supports at any required time.

Open Arms has a monthly schedule that list all the activities that we have planned for the month. We also have last minute outings that are planned by other clients.

Open Arms has a farm that provides clients the opportunity to work everyday with horses, goats,dogs,cats to provide the stimulation and therapy that each client finds within animals. We also offer lawn care to the elderly and disabled,as well as an auto care shop that is in the making now.

We volunteer at the Ronald Mcdonald house,City of Toledo Cemetatries,Adopt A Highway,Paws and Whiskers cat shelter, and many more places that need a helping hand.
