a) Describe your philosophy of providing services and supports to individuals with disabilities.

My philosophy with providing services to individuals with disabilities is to make sure they have an equal opportunity for their goals and dreams. Understanding the different personalities, culture, history, values ,and strength. To ensure an active community life that will allow the individual to strive for his/her needs and wants. Giving the individual the access to express themselves with everyday opportunities.

b) Describe yourself and your background/experience with individuals with disabilities.

I currently have been working in the medical field for 12 years now as a Registered Medical Assistant. I worked for Toledo Clinic in the internal Medicine department, majority with the elderly. My passion has always been golden to care for individuals in need, especially the elderly and what I like to call the "Beautifully unique". Although, I haven't worked with the "beautifully unique" in over 9 years, apart of me has the urge to fulfilled my passion completely. In late 2017, I decided to take the appropriate steps to become a certified Independent Provider, receiving all training and certificates to meet the requirements.

c) Describe any specialized training or education you have received to prepare you to work with individuals with disabilities. Describe any areas of expertise.

-Registered Medical Assistant (graduating in 2007) -HPC
-Independent Provider (certified in 01/2018) - HPC-transportation

Focus on the issue at hand, listen without interrupting one another, have everyone state what they truly mean, validate and show respect for each person's point of view rather right or wrong , decide on a solution that everyone agree upon, and if necessary seek professional advice.

As a provider, my main goal is to provide adequate services to help the individual progress at a level they're willing to achieve. I strive to have the best leadership skill with a competitive spirit. The ability to take initiative. I have solid communication skills, and if I don't understand I take deep pride in asking questions and researching until I have the tools and knowledge I'm most comfortable with in any situations that will help me.
