Agency Profile

a) Describe your agency’s philosophy of providing services and supports to individuals with disabilities.

Our Agency is here to provide excellent quality care and services to individuals with disabilities and their families, we are committed to setting examples for others to follow by being Respectful, Honest, Friendly and Encouraging everyone to be their best. We understand that all Individual's are different but they must be treated fair and with dignity, each Individual requires different services and supports and that's why we read the ISP very thorough and get to know the Individual 1.1.

b) Describe your agency’s staff orientation and training process.

The staff here at Messiah Helping Hands must have a minimum of 1 year experience of working with Individuals with disabilities in the direct care field here they need a high school diploma and they must pass a background check as well as have a valid license and driving abstract report with current full coverage insurance. They will also attend training by the County Board to receive certifications required by state, also CPR First Aid and Medication Certification. Once all of the information is confirmed and is ok then their is also a 2 week training of new staff to Messiah Helping Hands with a Supervisor.

c) How are individuals with disabilities involved in selecting the agency’s staff that work with them?

We find what person makes the Individual more comfortable and how their connection is because Individuals react differently with different people, their is always a certain person to meet that one Individuals needs that someone else cant meet and we will make sure to find that certain person for that Individual.

d) Describe your agency’s availability and flexibility in scheduling services and supports (days and hours available, areas of Lucas County willing to provide services, etc).

Messiah Helping Hands is a small Agency and we have been very good and prompt about our scheduling of supports and services to Individuals, our days and hours are around the clock just depending on services needed by Individual. We provide services anywhere in Lucas County area, staff is placed according to Individuals needs and time of services and supports.

e) Describe how services will be provided in the event of an agency staff illness or emergency.

In the event of an emergency in any case we have the chain of commands, and with the chain of commands in place their will always be service and support provided to the Individual as the specified time that was planned.

f) Describe how your agency would address individual or family concerns.

Messiah Helping Hands would evaluate the situation and take the best way to resolve what ever the Individual or family concerns may be, assure the family that we are for what ever we can be of assistance with at anytime.

g) Describe your agency’s specific strategies for increasing community inclusion and involvement for individuals served.

We here at Messiah Helping Hands try to find the community events that are less costly so more Individual's are able to get in the community and enjoy some activities without the need of funds. Their is always fun and neat things in the community that takes place at all different places and we involve our Individuals as often as possible.

Making sure documentation is correct, certifications are current, car insurance current, license are valid, background checks are accurate and providing the adequate amount of support and services to our Individual's.

I have 10 years experience of working with Individuals with Disabilities and I have earned the necessary education, training, and certifications to become Messiah Helping Hands, LLC. We are not just any Agency we are here to provide the necessary leadership, coaching, and tools to meet the personal growth and understand the needs and desires of each individual and their families. We are here to serve you and your individul and be of assistance in any way possible, choosing Messiah Helping Hands as your provider you will be very satisfied and pleased with your services and supports.

Individuals either get NMT or Tarps and once they arrive to Day Services they may have breakfast or snack and put their things away, we have curriculum for the day with reading and math, also their is computer and televisions along with all sorts of other arts and crafts. They have their lunch and we also have a quiet area for some individuals who would like to relax, the days vary because summer months are more outdoor activities.
