a) Describe your philosophy of providing services and supports to individuals with disabilities.

Doll Baby Caring Homes is here to provide everyday services for those who needs assistance. All individuals will be treated equally, fairly, and given respect and dignity! All individuals shall also be encouraged and supported to achieve independent and productive lives in their homes and communities. This is a non-judgement zone and all individuals will be provided with the same amount of same respect as a non disabled client. I am there to assist them in their daily needs. With the goal to ensure that that are provided with services to help enhance their daily living necessities.

b) Describe yourself and your background/experience with individuals with disabilities.

I’ve worked with individuals with disabilities for about 7 years and i absolutely love everything about the reward your given. When i say reward I mean the feeling of seeing someone accomplish goals they may have not thought they could do, or the smile that light up their face. Since I’ve became so attached to the individuals I cared for in the past becoming my own provider is what i felt was best for me because caring for someone became a passion. I’ve worked in a nursing home setting as well as the community and both were a blessing. I have experience in med passing, first aid and cpr, insulin, as well as g/j-tube experience.

c) Describe any specialized training or education you have received to prepare you to work with individuals with disabilities. Describe any areas of expertise.

First Aid/CPR training
Medication administration
G/J-Tube feeding
Client Rights annual training
8 Hour state of Ohio training

Services are provided on a 24 hour basis.

Families are the primary source of nurturing care and support so these relationships will be respected and supported by any means. All concerns will be addressed with the family as all families will have a leadership role in making decisions in all areas of their lives to include: Residence, Education, Employment, Health, Recreation, and Relationships.

m) Describe specific strategies for increasing community inclusion and involvement for individuals served.

I will ensure that all individuals will be provided community based involvements. All services will be provided in a culturally appropriate, accountable and accessible environment. We will also ensure that all individuals have the same rights, privileges, and opportunities as those who are not disabled.
